It is rare we have a repeat session unless it is used as a test. This session has probably been done 4-5 times by now and it is because it reveals certain aspects about a player. There is a moment when every person will quit, and not just quit and give up but quit as in ceasing to reach for their original goal. It comes by way of concessions, little agreements made internally to not live up to your own expectations. The degree to which we do this becomes very obvious in sessions that have moving targets because it is hard to find predictable outcomes. Without a prediction model, the mind tends to only see despair. I would say that this session helps train against that, but it can really only test it. You must start this session “hard” but you must also leave something in the tank for when you realize you are not as far along as you thought.

Flow: Start on the assault bike, using the first 2min to bank as many of the 300 calories as possible at the 2min mark do your first burpee box step over, then immediately get back on the bike, every 2minutes adding 1x burpee box step over. Eventually the burpee box step over will catch up and you will have less and less time to work on the bike. The workout ends when you complete the 300 calories or cannot complete the required burpee box step over.
